Keep the fear alive…

update

By the end of next weekend, there will be a locked cut of Live-In Fear. No you cant watch it. Yet.

Small (Tiny) Note on the Teaser Montage

An announcement to start things off: I’m taking down the teaser montage. I have a few reasons as to why but the main reason it that, well, it was just a teaser (a raw, un- color corrected teaser at that.) It’s not a trailer and it’s not meant to really tell you anything about the story, just meant to tease (as the title would seemingly imply.) So, if you try and click the video in the previous blog post or on youtube, nothing’s gonna happen. Wait for the real trailer a little later this year, it’s worth it, I promise.

Also, all LIF IMDB credits should be updated. If there is something wrong with yours or a correction needs to be made, get in contact with Maria or myself.

Thank you to EVERYONE for all the support! Your enthusiasm for the film keeps me going when I cant go on any more.

Testing out some poster ideas

So, I’ve been really itching to make a one-sheet for LIF and here is my third try. I’m not even going to post the other two. This design is based off of one of the posters for a film that came out last year called Melancholia. In the art world they call it a “swipe.”

A very social update!

Updates:

LIF IMDB Page: All contributor and Associate/Executive Producer credits have been added. Waiting on IMDB to update the page, this kind of stuff always takes them a few weeks to fully roll out so if you dont see your credit on there yet, dont worry, it’ll be on there soon enough.

The Movie: Finished the 2nd assembly cut. Very happy with the way it’s looking. I’m still looking for a composer who can think outside the box. The idea of this movie having a standard score makes me want to puke. And not in a good way!

This Saturday is Adam Hart’s Jive Azz Film Festival in Tarzana, CA- I’ll be showing footage from the film for the first time ever! Seating is limited so if you want to come, make sure you rsvp.

PS: As a little bonus for the people who actually read this, go check out my youtube channel and you’ll find something pretty cool.

Update and behind the scenes photos!

Well hello, Gentle Viewers. Thank you for joining us once again. It is I, Brandon Scullion, the writer and director of Live-In Fear here with another update. Obvs.

We wrapped the Utah shoot about two weeks ago. That invincible “high” feeling I got from production has long worn off. However, the footage looks amazing, so, win some (making movies!), lose some (life.)

Side note: I’ve had a dreams about the shoot every night since we wrapped. Every night. Pretty much all of them about all the stuff that could’ve gone (but didn’t) wrong.

I finished the first assembly cut of the film sometime last week. I want to say Tuesday. Sorry, everything’s been a blur of footage, gnarly bangovers, quitting my job, and shrimp tacos for the past couple of days. I’m already well into the 2nd assembly.

For those who want to see the first ever live debut of footage from the film, you can come to Adam Hart’s Jive Azz Film Festival. Yes, ridiculous title I know but I thought, what better place to debut the footage than the school that inspired me to make it? Pure logic.

I also just posted a ton of Behind the SCREAMS (subtle eye wink) photos. Brought back a lot of memories, also, some of those photos I dont have memories of.

Hasta manana. Keep the fear alive.

What a “trip!”

Last Friday, we wrapped principal production on my debut feature film “Live-In Fear.” The shoot, which took place in Brian Head, UT, was the singular most re-affirming event of my very short 25 years of life. From the amazingly talented cast to the hardcore-dedicated crew, we were all on fire. Never has a shoot gone so smoothly in my life. This kind of thing is not supposed to happen. Thank you from the bottom of my very warm heart to Matt, Danielle, Emily, Maria, David, Arielle, Chris, Sarah, Bobby, Myles, Geoffrey and Nancy.

Just a glimpse…

Update 1-26-12

Hey, everyone! Brandon here to give you a little update on Live-In Fear!

Just in this past week, we have finalized all casting, done rehearsals, and done some work on sfx/makeup.

To say I am excited would be the understatement of the year, then again with the year having only just started, there’s room for even greater stuff!

We are almost up to $3,000 raised and the new campaign is going strong (which you can conveniently find right here.) Share the link and donate today! We cant do this without YOU!

Seeing all the news and excitement coming from Sundance this year has me really pumped. Some small horror films have made some incredible distribution deals this year, notably, just this morning, Bloody-Disgusting’s V/H/S was just picked up by Magnolia for a ONE MILLION DOLLAR distribution deal. Wow.

February 21st is coming fast!
